The sun is an absolute must for plants. Unfortunately, there is also too much of a good thing in this case: In the blazing sun, many plants get sunburnt, wilt or even die. But what would summer be without flowers?
Fortunately, there are also many sun worshipers in the plant kingdom who just can't get enough of the light and warmth. Whether for the balcony, the terrace or the bed - here you will find ten plants that only really feel good in the blazing sun.

1. Sun Bride
The name says it all: The Sun Bride (Helenium) actually only wants one thing - and that is full of sun. If you offer the plant a place, you won't be disappointed - with its countless yellow flowers, it shines like the sun and also attracts beneficial insects such as bees. But anyone who thinks that the sun bride cannot survive without warmth is mistaken. In fact, the plant is frost hardy down to -20 °C and therefore also perfect for the German garden.

2. Petunia
A classic among balcony plants is the petunia (Petunia). With its beautiful flowers, it enchants every garden from May to October and is therefore a real permanent bloomer. At the same time, there is something for every taste with the large number of types and color variations. Their undemanding and easy-care nature has also helped the petunia to become very popular. 6. Paprika and Chili

Since chillies and peppers belong to the same plant genus, they are very similar in terms of both location and care. Ideally, both plants are therefore planted in front of a south-facing wall, where they can take full advantage of the sun's rays. 7. Gladiolus
When the majestic gladioli (Gladiolus) start blooming in July, they quickly attract everyone's attention. At the same time, the gladiolus is available in all imaginable colors, so that a colorful sea of flowers quickly forms.
