The selection of pea seeds is enormous and may leave many hobby gardeners spoiled for choice. The variety ranges from field peas to wrinkled peas, pate peas to mangetout. The pea plants generally differ in colour, shape, origin, season and of course in the harvest time.

Field peas

  • Alvesta: new breed with good yields and high protein content.
  • Respect: good growth, high yield and good port content.

Pawny Peas

  • Excellence: new variety with excellent fruit quality; very productive.
  • Grandera: robust growth and very hardy; high yields and particularly good aroma.
  • Markana: extremely robust with compact growth; no climbing aid necessary; good flavor.
  • Sublima: medium late pea variety with high sugar content; good aroma with high yields; resistant to burn spot fungi, powdery mildew and fusarium.
  • Kelvedon miracle: medium early variety with good yields; the so-called wonder of Kelvedon, has maintained its place in the diverse assortment of varieties.

Peas

  • Earliest of May: extremely early to harvest compared to other peas; very tasty shell pea with good yields.
  • Blauschwokker: well-tried and traditional variety from Holland; pretty violet pods; robust growth; high yield and good aroma.
  • Feltham First: one of the first varieties of the year with deep green pods; compact growth; cultivation is possible without a climbing aid; good flavor.
  • Early Harzerin: proven, very earlyVarieties with robust growth.
  • Kleine Rheinländerin: traditional and extremely robust variety; medium maturity; dark green pods with partly lush kernels.

Sweet Peas

  • Ambrosia: proven German variety with quite fleshy grains; good aroma and good yields.
  • Delikata: if harvested early, the pods can still be eaten with the skin on; Resistance to powdery mildew and Fusarium.
  • Mid-high Normand: one of the early ripening varieties with light green pods and green-yellow seeds.
  • Norli: one of the more modern varieties with a very compact habit; ideal for the balcony or terrace; quite productive despite the compact growth; aromatic sugar snap peas.
  • Vroege Hendriks: very early variety; perfect for growing in Germany.
